A personalized approach to Newborn Photography

Before Each Session

Every detail is carefully organized in advance. My reservation process is streamlined through a user-friendly online system and includes a comprehensive Session Guide to ensure you feel informed and prepared.
We will also meet virtually prior to your session to discuss preferences, styling, and overall vision, so everything feels seamless when the day arrives.

During Each Session

Relaxed, intentional, and effortless

On the day of your session, you are invited to slow down and simply enjoy the experience. I bring my studio to you, including carefully curated props, outfits, and accessories, allowing you to focus on caring for yourself while I guide the session with patience and expertise.

After Each Session

Custom collections designed with care.

Your experience continues beyond the session itself. In the week following your session, we will meet virtually to hand-select your images and artwork, finalizing a collection thoughtfully tailored to your personal style. Each image is then meticulously edited and prepared. Gallery delivery takes place within three weeks.

Signature Newborn

A classic studio-style session brought to your home, designed to highlight the unique and beautiful details of your newborn using a variety of poses, props and backdrops

Parents and siblings are invited to participate in a portion of the session with the option for posed and candid moments

Session is baby-led to allow breaks for feeding, changing, and soothing; most last three to four hours

Lifestyle

Tell the story of this chapter of your lives. We’ll capture the real moments, emotions, and connections with less posing and direction

Sessions may feature babies of all ages, families, or expecting parents

Held in-home or outdoors, in your own yard or your favorite local park

Session time is approximately 40 minutes. Newborn Lifestyle sessions are 60-90 minutes to allow time for feeding, changing, and soothing

Newborn Photography FAQs

I accept reservations as early as 4 months prior to your estimated due date month.

The month of your estimated due date is used only as a placeholder with the understanding that we will schedule our session after baby arrives (scheduled deliveries may be an exception). This is a standard practice among Maryland Newborn Photographers, and I take very few reservations each month to guarantee scheduling flexibility.

Because I take so few reservations each month and babies often arrive early or late, I occasionally have enough flexibility to accommodate sessions for babies who have already arrived – it is always worth checking! I do require at least 5 days between a reservation and a session to prepare. For babies beyond 3 weeks of age, I recommend Lifestyle Sessions for the best experience.

Of course! When you book more than one session at the same time, for example, a Lifestyle Maternity Session and a Newborn Session, and maybe even a Lifestyle Session when your baby reaches a certain milestone age, each will be reduced by $50. Clients often choose to combine their galleries into one album to tell a beautiful story of their growing family!

Newborn safety is my number one priority and I take every possible measure to protect every baby’s health.

I am up-to-date on Covid, Seasonal Flu, and TDAP vaccines. I wear a medical-grade mask at all times while in my clients’ homes or in close contact with a newborn, and of course, I wash and sanitize my hands so much that my skin is basically sandpaper.

No more than three sessions are scheduled per week to allow time to properly clean and launder all items used between sessions. Additionally, my contract requires rescheduling in the event of illness of anyone participating in a photo session. If you have specific requests or concerns, I am certainly happy to do as much as I can to make sure you are comfortable.

I am based in Ellicott City, Maryland and bring my photography sessions to clients’ homes and favorite outdoor locations throughout Howard County and surrounding areas between Baltimore and Washington, D.C., from Annapolis to Frederick.
